1) 오늘의 할 일: Public Domain Review’s “Still Farther South” 원문 읽기. 다음에는 뭘 번역할 지 고민하다가 이 에세이에서는 에드거 알랜 포에 관한 내용도 있고 해서 도움이 될 점들이 많을 것 같아 이걸로 하기로 결정했다. 학기 끝나는 주에 번역하기에 너무 적절한 듯.

 

2) Public Domain Review 에서 프린트를 할 때는 쿠키를 꼭 끈 뒤에 프린트 하는 걸로.

 

3) 유의해야 할 표현들; 1. “single and connected story”; 2. “still farther south”; 3. (...)

 

4) Poe invented “detective stories” even before when the word “detective” had been coined. There were plenty of mysteries, but Poe was the first to introduce a character who solves it with factual evidence.
